Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Despite being united only 20 years or so ago and living thousands of miles apart, Nana expressed her unconditional love to my sister Kerry and me. Living so far apart, I used to look forward to receiving phone calls, emails and letters in the post from her. I still review the lovely letters and emails she sent to me. When we did meet in person, Nana was so happy to take me to meet her close friends. Her friends meant a lot to her and it gave me comfort knowing she had people that loved and cared for her when she was living alone. Some of my favourite times spent with her was when exploring the amazing sights of the Canadian Rockies with her on my second visit to Canada and going fishing with her (which she loved so much) on my most recent visit to Canada. We couldn’t be at the service in person today as we celebrate my sister Kerry’s graduation today after following Nana’s footsteps and graduating in a nursing related degree. We will be thinking of Nana today especially and we will remember her always. - Posted by: Adam Wright (Grandson) on: Jul 17, 2024

  • I will always remember Aunt Sheila as a warm and loving member of our family. She never ended a call or meet-up without saying "I love you". We will miss her. - Posted by: Necole Sommersell (Goddaughter) on: Jul 01, 2024

  • Shelia's passing was quite a shock following our recent conversation something we enjoyed, updating each other of life and family, a friendship that lasted over 50 years. You will be missed. Rest Eternal - Posted by: Dorothy (Dorrie) Barrett (Friend) on: Jul 01, 2024

  • I have been a decades long friend of Sheila, long distance since moving to Alberta thirty years ago. She was manager to my head nurse position where we got on well and sometimes locked horns, both being very strong minded! I fondly remember good times with little Jacqe and Krista and shared her joy when she discovered her grandchildren in England. We spoke often over the phone. I am sorry for your loss, Jacqe.
