PATRICIA MURIEL KUKURUDZ
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Kukurudz (nee Twerdun), aged 76 years, on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Seven Oaks Hospital, with family by her side.
She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Carla (Greg) Mullin and their children, Rowan, Danika and Nevada; her son Brad (Jessica Dwyer) Kukurudz and their children, Luna, Annika and Charlotte; her brothers, Bob (Darlene) Twerdun and Barry (Lynda) Twerdun; sister-in-law Shirley Twerdun; brother-in-law Bob Knaggs; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and her close friends, Debbie and Bob Tait. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Mary Twerdun, her brother Ron Twerdun and sister Emily Knaggs.
Pat was born in Rossburn and was the third child of Fred and Mary Twerdun. Pat spent her childhood growing up in Shoal Lake followed by a number of years in Brandon and finally settling in Winnipeg where she raised her family.
Pat was a caregiver to her loved ones and community. This was evident in her many years hosting foreign exchange students, something she truly enjoyed. Her passion and enjoyment of the outdoors was shown through her flower and vegetable gardens. Pat had a natural connection to animals and was never without a dog at home. Her beloved Bailey provided her with comfort and support and is being lovingly cared for by family.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Shoal Lake Community Hall. Interment and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Pat's honour.

Pat was an amazing neighborhood friend. We, my wife and I enjoyed her visits with her dogs…Raine, Millie and Bailey. I always enjoyed doing many projects for her at her home. The last one being was a fence in her backyard on the south side last fall. Unfortunately she didn’t get to enjoy it this summer. My wife would go with Pat strawberry picking in La Salle, MB. She and Rachel enjoyed that. The first time they went my wife said Pat almost picked more than her🤭🍓🍓 She is definitely going to be missed! She was one tough lady. Rest in Peace Pat We love ya❤️ Kevin & Rachel Anderson - Posted by: Kevin Anderson (Neighborhood friends ) on: Jun 29, 2024
