Therese (Terry) passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024, at Actionmarguerite St. Vital (Foyer Valade), at the age of 94, having just celebrated her birthday on June 5.
Therese was predeceased by her parents, Elphège and Blanche (née Trudel), her brother Leo and his wife Pauline, and her sister Yvonne.
She is survived by her four nieces, Suzanne (Glen Hall), Michelle (Denis Zaste), Lise (Norman Koltucky), Nicole (Gerry Howe); and numerous cousins.
Terry was born in St. Boniface where she resided most of her life. Her first job was at St. Boniface Hospital and she later retired from Canadian Liquid Air Ltd.
Therese enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. She also, enjoyed travelling which she did frequently, but her happiest moments were with family and friends, of which she so often reminisced. Therese had a positive outlook on life and her natural ´joie de vivre’ will be sadly missed.
A special ‘thank you’ to the staff on the third floor and nurses of Actionmarguerite St. Vital for their compassion and care.
A Funeral Mass for Therese will be celebrated Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Paroisse des Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens, 289 Dussault Avenue, with l’Abbé Christian Mutombo presiding. Interment to follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
