ALBERTO CAPONE

It is with profound heartbreak that we write this. Alberto Capone, 75, passed away on July 1, 2024, courageously fighting cancer with every ounce of strength he possessed.

He leaves behind his wife, Antonietta, of 54 years, his sons, Alberto Jr. (Kelly) and Davide; his grandson, the shining light in his life, Alessandro; his sisters, Dora, Maria, and Paola, and his brothers, Amedeo and Franco. Predeceased and welcoming him are his parents, Generoso and Angelina, his brother Severino, and so many friends and family who will greet him with excitement. He has many nieces and nephews, locally and abroad, who loved him with an incredible intensity and grieve immensely. His limitless kindness has left friends, and anyone who was lucky enough to interact with him, missing him as well.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, July 11 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., Winnipeg, MB, with Rev. Father Sam Argenziano presiding. Condolences at 10:00 a.m., Eulogy to follow with Mass at 11:00 a.m.

  • We were so very heartbroken to hear of your husband's passing. Alberto always knew how to bring joy and laughter to his family and friends. As far back as I can remember, my parents, Giuseppe and Maria Colatruglio, were always laughing when in his company. I would have to say, especially my Dad enjoyed a good joke, and Alberto new how to tell them. Beautiful memories will heal your broken hearts. To the Capone Family, we offer you our most sincerest condolences. God Bless you. - Posted by: Tina and John Gawron (Friends of the Family) on: Jul 07, 2024

  • We still cannot believe uncle Albert is gone from our lives. He was such a wonderful and caring person to all who knew him. The time he spent with his kids, grandkids, his nephews and all children for that matter was so pure and loving. He was a wonderful uncle who always had time to listen, tell a funny story and provide guidance and wisdom. He will be so dearly missed but we will always have him in our hearts forever.
