ERNA ENNS

March 16, 1935 - July 5, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother Erna Enns, who went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Erna was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry. She will be greatly missed by her children and especially by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her greatest pride and joy in this world.

She was one in a million and will be forever remembered for her incredible sense of humour. Even in her final days, it was love and laughter that surrounded her.

Upon her request, there will be no service held. But for those that had the blessing of knowing Mom would know that her only wish would be to cherish the memories and embrace the moments and to continue to live each day with unlimited laughter.

We miss you Mom, and eagerly await the day we see you again. You go ahead and give them guff in heaven.

Love, Your Family

  • Growing up it was tradition to go to Grandma Enns for New Year's with the Horch kids. We would ride snowmobiles and have all kinds of fun. One of my best memories of her was when she, a grandma lifted the backend of a snowmobile up (I believe it was the old Mercury) and used her other hand to rev the throttle shooting snow at us kids. This gave her super grandma status instantly. She had an amazing sense of humour and she was never shy to be direct with any of us kids when we got out of hand, which I did my share of. I will always hold loving memories of the times I spent at her place in the country and how wonderful she was to us, her grandchildren's friends. - Posted by: Ben Thiessen (Family friend) on: Jul 16, 2024

  • So sorry to hear of the passing of your dear mother. We had such a great group of neighbors on Stalker Bay. Some of the best childhood memories were swimming in the pool, riding mini bikes and hearing the laughter! I remember the matching plaid outfits we all received, washing the bays at Henry’s car wash and our mom’s all would get together for coffee while we all ran from house to house and played. There was always the infectious laughter from Mrs. Enns that made everyone laugh!! She was a wonderful lady! - Posted by: Eileen Romanow (Neighborhood friend) on: Jul 14, 2024

  • Sincere condolences and Prayers to you Dave and all your family, may she rest in peace. - Posted by: William and Pat Fizell (Old Family Friend ) on: Jul 13, 2024

  • I was so saddened for the whole Enns family when I saw your moms name in the paper today. I spent countless hours in your home and had many meals with your large family. Your place was always the gathering place for all the neighborhood kids. Your mom always had snacks and open arms. My best young years were spent with the Enns’. A very big hug to my dear friend Carol. From Heidi Balciunas (Layher). - Posted by: Heidi Balciunas (Former neighbor) on: Jul 13, 2024
