Ardella Johnston passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the age of 81. Ardella was born on September 15, 1942, in Ceylon, SK, to Annie and Ivan Joynt.
After completing her education in Ceylon, she began working various waitressing jobs and working as a care giver. She also provided daycare service, cherishing the children she cared for over the years. Ardella was a caring and nurturing person. She loved her family, friends and pets. She enjoyed doing crafts, and puttering in her yard and garage, but especially enjoyed cheering on her family while watching them participate in hockey, soccer or any other sporting event they were in. She was also an avid yard sale shopper.
Ardella will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Richard (Tracy) and Barry; daughter, Melissa; brothers, George, Garnet (Lisa); grandchildren: Brett (Sabrina), Adam (Haley) and Kristen Johnston, Sydney and Khloe Turner and Nikki (Kyle) Moench; great-grandchildren: Aiden, Mya and Jada Johnston, Chloe and Haley Moench. Ardella was predeceased by her parents, Annie and Ivan Joynt; husband, Edward (Ted) Johnston; brother, Garry Joynt and granddaughter, Alyssa. A private family graveside service for Ardella will be held.
