Les, 94 years, beloved husband of the late Eileen Alder and the late Elsie Alder, father of Ruth (Mark) Tombs, Lynne (Larry) VanBeek, Carole (Mike) Baker, grandfather and great-grandfather. Les passed away in Souris, Manitoba on July 18, 2024.
A memorial service will be held at My Church Winnipeg, 955 Wilkes Avenue, Winnipeg on Thursday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. Private interment in the Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg.
In memory of Les, donations may be made to the MBRC, Box 62, Ninette, Manitoba R0K 1R0 or to the ERDO 2450 Miltower Ct. Mississauga, Ontario L5N 5Z6.

Les Alder was my great uncle, my grandmother's younger brother. He was a warm and loving man who always welcomed us when we visited Manhattan camp. Just this last January he called my grandma on the phone (she passed away in March), and he was still so with it in conversation about old memories and things going on in his community.
