I was both shocked and saddened to hear of Gerrie's passing. Gerrie was my mom, Edna's cousin so I guess that made Gerrie and I, cousins-once-removed. People may be surprised at my expression of shock but Gerrie was a livewire...never afraid to state her opinion, while at the same time willing to listen to yours. She loved life and activity. She and her beloved husband, Wally frequently went for breakfast at Denny's and after he passed away in 2010, she continued to enjoy life...snooker, cards, walks. I know that Gail was a wonderful companion during the years since Wally's passing. As lively as Gerrie was, she was also a very private person. She loved her family and enjoyed her visits from cousin, Melodie. My deepest condolences to Gail, Doug, her grands and great-grands. Rest in peace, Gerrie. - Posted by: Val Bishop (relative) on: Jul 20, 2024
