Announcing the passing of Chris Dornn of Winnipeg at the age of 93, leaving behind his wife Susie (Hofer); his children, James (Marlene), Arthur (Valerie), David (Carla), Harry, Sonya (Doug) Lockhart and Darcy, along with 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB.

Chris, with his wife Susie, were very dear friends with my parents, Edith and Earl. For decades, their names would come up in any family conversations because they were such a part of our folks’ faith and daily lives. Chris always asked after each of our family members, even after we were all spread out. He played the father figure or avuncular role to any young people in the church or the neighbourhood because he naturally cared about how they were gaining appropriate life values. He made people aware that he was ready to help or support if anyone required that. He lived his faith each day, caring and sharing what he knew and what he had. He and Susie were a great team.
