John Parchaliuk passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024, at the age of 85 years.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Sophie, his brother Peter, and his wife Sandra.
He is survived by his children, Susan, Robert, Wayne (Lisa), and Debra (Garrett); his grandchildren, David, Mackenzie, Brennan, Xander and Anika; his sister Rose (Louis), as well as other extended family.
John will be remembered for his lifelong career as a skilled carpenter, his admirable and praise-worthy projects - many for family and friends, and for his passion for playing the accordion and entertaining the public in a variety of Ukrainian music bands throughout his life.
Our family would like to express our thanks and gratitude to his many caregivers including the Seven Oaks General Hospital, WRHA home care, Beacon Hill Lodge, and Fred Douglas Lodge.
At John’s request no public service will be held. A private family memorial will take place at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Diabetes Canada in memory of John.

Danced to John’s band several times and spoke with him as well. John gave us his “Party time dance favourites” CD for us to enjoy. We knew him to be a pleasant gentleman. Sincere sympathy to his children and extended family on their loss of a wonderful man.
