It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lauria, with his wife at his side.
He is survived by his wife Merle, three siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and six siblings.
Funeral service will be held on August 7, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Mosaic Funeral Home, 1839 Inkster Blvd, Winnipeg. Viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Brookside Cemetery.
Thanks to all the staff of St. Luke’s Unit, Holy Family Personal Care Home for their excellent care, especially Andriy, Maria, Natalia and Brian, who went above and beyond duty.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Holy Family Personal Care Home or the Alzheimer Society.

Those we love never die! Rather, they remain forever alive in the hearts and memories of those that shared their life. As such, “Laurie’s” passing merely signals the closing of yet another chapter in his earthly life. In life, he was much loved, admired, and greatly appreciated. The warmth of his smile and the pleasure of his company, these are treasured beyond expression. May his soul now rest in eternal peace as he re-unites with loved ones gone before, and is committed to the arms of a Merciful Saviour to whom he was no stranger.
