Dear Dohie family. George was a friend of my fathers, we really only connected after my father's death several years back. I would visit him from time to time, we would chat or go out to A&W. What a lovely man he was. I was always touched by his devotion to his late wife, how he lived his losses, how he kept his house, and the interesting conversations we would have. I was very sad to hear this news. I will miss him. I send my condolences. - Posted by: Donald Goodes (Friend) on: Aug 16, 2024

Precious memories ~ how they linger...and we have many fond ones to recall. We always looked forward to our visits with George and more recently our telephone chats, which will be truly missed. On one occasion he got me to link into a local radio station and we had a drink while enjoying the music together...over 2,000 km apart! That was George! To Judy, John, Paul, Ian, Robert & families our sincere condolences. Treasure the good times. May his soul rest in peace ~ Memory Eternal. My condolences to Judy and the entire Dohie family for your loss. George was a generous and kind person with a special sense of humour and outlook on life. George and Adeline were our next door neighbours at Grindstone Park and I can happily say that many good thoughts and stories will always be remembered. - Posted by: Jamie Mitchell (Friend / Neighbour) on: Aug 03, 2024

Dear Dohie Family, George was someone who has been part of the Shindleman family for 50 years plus. He used to be at our grocery store in Portage la Prairie on behalf of Burns twice a week, no matter what the weather was like. George was a good man who will be dearly missed.
