BARBARA CORNETT
Barbara Cornett, 75, of Brandon, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024. Born in Brandon on February 18th, 1949, Barbara led a life distinguished by her love, kindness, and dedication.
Barbara's unwavering commitment to her family and friends, along with her warm heart and generous spirit, made a profound impact on everyone who knew her.
She was a beloved wife to Nick Cornett and a devoted mother to her daughters, Corrinne Kolesar and Sara Cornett (fiancé J.M. Bandor). She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Eileigh Bandor, Keegan Kolesar, T'Keyah Peterson, and Trey Peterson. Barbara was also a cherished aunt to Tara Roberts (husband Gary), Drew McPhee (wife Tess), Dustin Kellington (wife Caitlin), Dylan Kellington (wife Megan) Krista Rawlings and Bonnie McCabe.
She is survived by her siblings, Cheryl Chown, Bev Rawlings and Randy Kellington (wife Terry), and her sister-in-law, Sandra Cornett who will deeply miss her presence.
A Celebration of Barb's Life will be held for close friends and family at 4146 Centennial Blvd on Friday, August 16th, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 55 St. Clair Ave. West, Suite 300 Toronto, ON, M4V 2Y7, in Barbara’s memory.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered for her passion for wine, gardening, cooking, dancing and watching hockey. Her infectious laughter and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew her. For those attending the celebration of life, please remember Barbara as she was - "full of joy, love, and a zest for life.”
