It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Craig on August 18, 2024.
Cherishing his memory are his father Mel, sister Lori Pardini, nephew Mark Pardini and numerous friends and family. Craig was predeceased by his loving mother Fannie.
Craig was born in Saskatoon and at age 14 moved with his family to Winnipeg. A graduate of River East Collegiate, Craig went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Computer Science. Craig excelled in the field of computer programing and a few years after graduating he ventured out with a few others to create their own computer software company, DBI Technologies. While in University Craig was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Here he made lifelong friends, notably Greg Hawrysh and Bob Maxin. Craig often spoke of the great times the trio had together whether it be travelling, cycling or their many wing nights.
Craig had a passion for all things music. When he was six years old, Craig decided he wanted to be a drummer. His parents bought him a drum set and the rest is history. He drummed in a few bands over the decades but was most proud of his band Lost Frequency. He and his band mates, Alan Shead, David McKenzie, Garth Meacham and Ed Verinder spent countless hours in Craig’s basement perfecting their sound. Highlights during their time together were gigs at the Park Theatre and Kings Head Pub. Craig also enjoyed karaoke and when he realized his favourite Canadian bands and songs were missing from available tracks he decided to take matters into his own hands. He ventured into sound engineering and with the help of his friend Chantalle Desrochers, he created over 30 tracks. To this day songs by Doug and the Slugs, Tom Cochrane, Gowan, etc. and one song in particular Roxy Roller continue to be popular with karaoke enthusiasts.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Sherwood Park Lutheran Church, 7 Tudor Crescent, Winnipeg R2K 2A5. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the church in Craig’s memory.

I have known Craig for over 20 years through my association with him at DBI and his relationship with my brother Alan. I talked with Craig almost every Wednesday at our business management conference calls and we used that occasion to keep up to date with each other. I knew Craig to be sensitive, sincere and a loving man and he will be dearly missed. Unfortunately as I am now situated on the west coast I will be unable to attend the service but you all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
