Graduated from St. James Collegiate in 1963, enjoyed a student tour of Europe in 1964, obtained a B. A. from the University of Manitoba (United College) in 1966, a Library Technician’s Certificate in 1979, and a Diploma in Library Technology from Red River Community College in 1983.

She also took many general interest and fitness courses over the years such as Jazz As An Evolving Art Form, Children’s Literature For Parents, Spanish, yoga and Zumba.
Charlotte (aka Charlie) possessed a quick wit and was known for her “quirky” sense of humour. Family was very important to her. She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Falcon Lake where she liked to swim, walk and cycle. Charlotte was a lover of the arts, particularly theatre, attending performances at RMTC and had season’s tickets to the Warehouse Theatre for years with her sister and daughter. She attended the Folk Festival for many years and looked forward to the Fringe Festival every summer. Charlotte was a voracious reader and was a member of the Harafish Book Club for over 20 years.
Survived by her husband of over 58 years, Bob, three children, Susan (Michael), John (Bonni), and Rob (Kathryn), eight grandchildren, Alex, Zach, Betty, Abby, Marty, Caitlin, McKenna, and Riley, sister, Cathy (Rick), nieces, Jessie (Tanya), Charlotte (Adam) and great-nephew, Kirby, and nephew Charlie (Annika) and great-nieces, Clare and Fiona.
“Grandma likes birds, flowers and reading books.” - Betty, age six.

Charlotte and I became friends on that student trip back in 1964 and, despite living in different cities for most of our lives, never lost that connection. She remained a valued friend.
