Our dearest beloved mother, Petronella Elizabeth Soorsma at the age of 104 entered into rest at Lions Manor, Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Friday, August 30, 2024.
Elizabeth was born in Marrum Friesland, the Netherlands on January 24, 1920 to Leviena and Cornelis Boersma.
She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Lolke Soorsma. Elizabeth will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four children: Fred Soorsma (Eva), Leviena Boychuk (William), Jackie Soorsma (James Barkman), Neil Soorsma (Nancy), seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service was held at Green Acres Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
Donations may be made to the Calvary Temple, 440 Hargrave St., Winnipeg, Manitoba.
