Date of Passing: Sep 07, 2024
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySALLY LOUISE SITARZ
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Sally on September 7, 2024, at the age of 78.
Sally was a cherished wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, and special friend to so many people. She would always greet you with a smile on her face and a song in her heart.
Sally is lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Edward (Ed) Sitarz, her children, Jeffery (Michelle) and Jennifer (Rob), her grandchildren, Holly and Colton, her eight brothers and sisters, Wayne (Elaine), Barbara (Barry), Bonnie (Roger), Doug (Valerie), Larry (Carol), Susan, Tim (Cindy), and Janice, her sisters-in-law, Adel and Fran (Doug), her many nieces and nephews, and treasured friends. Sally was predeceased by her parents, Laurence and Mollie Jones, and her brother-in-law Grant Collins.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Sally spent her early years attending school and helping to raise her many siblings before moving to Toronto for work. After returning to Winnipeg, she met and married Ed. Together they raised a family of which she was so very proud.
Sally held many administrative jobs over the years prior to her retirement from the Public Service in 2010. She kept quite busy during her retirement years and enjoyed many trips and cruises with Ed.
Sally valued time with her family over anything else and did an amazing job of keeping everyone connected. She truly was the glue that held us all together. Sally had an eye for making things beautiful and she generously shared that gift with others. If you needed decorations for any specific occasion, she was your gal. Her love of strawberry tea, finding a good bargain, having a nice long gab session, and spending time with her Holly girl and little man Colton, are all things for which she will be remembered. It’s time to rest easy now Sal, your work on earth is done.
A celebration of Sally’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of St. Timothy, 135 John Forsyth Road, Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.

We were very sorry to learn of Sally's passing and send our sincere condolences to Ed and family. Year's back, when Ed and I were both working at the TD Divisional office, we often rode the bus home together on Friday night. I, Ron, got to know Sally much better during the brief time we all lived at The Enclave, and I was quite shocked when I saw her obituary in the paper. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. - Posted by: Ron & Myrna Tole (Friends) on: Sep 16, 2024
