It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Consuelo Abalos Mas, on September 12, 2024, at the age of 69, surrounded by her devoted family.
A strong-willed and generous soul, Consuelo moved to Canada at 18 and spent 48 cherished years with her husband Berlino Mas. Together, they raised eight children: Christopher (Almarie), Berlino Jr. (Jeanette), Alexander, Jennifer (Adam), Josephine (Lester), Don DiosDado (Glenney), Edmund (Valerie), and Edward (Hannah), and were blessed with 14 grandchildren, with another on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Lolita, Elizabeth, and Manuel. Predeceased by her mother Futunata, father Susano, brothers, Inocencio, Napoleon and sister Lydia.
Consuelo was a pillar of strength and kindness, always putting others before herself. Her generosity, compassion, and love for her family defined her life. She will forever be missed, but her legacy of love, strength, and selflessness will live on in all who knew and loved her.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

Condolences to Berlino and family. I had the pleasure of working with Connie for ten years at St. Joseph’s. She was an excellent, hardworking, caring health-care aide. Her residents were so well cared for. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Jen Stockburn (Former co-worker ) on: Sep 21, 2024

Connie worked as a nurses aid at St, Joseph’s Residence where I was the director of Pastoral Care. Connie was a wonderful caring nurse aid. She was always concerned about the well being of the residents, always making sure that they were able to get to the chapel. She was a kind loving person, we always shared stories about our children. May She Rest In Peace. Eternal. Memory. - Posted by: Marilyn Krochak (Former conworker) on: Sep 17, 2024
