AGNES BUDY

Agnes passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024. She was a woman of integrity and strength of faith who embraced life with a quiet passion. She was one to always offer encouragement to family and friends and had the gift of celebrating their accomplishments with a glad heart.

Agnes was a faithful wife, confidante and companion to Walter. She was a dedicated loving mom who wanted nothing but the best for her sons, Tim and Paul and daughters-in-law, Colleen and Vicki. She was able to encourage them to achieve their best without dispensing advice.

Her greatest gift and accomplishment was being a grandmother to her five grandkids, Mackenzie, Brendan, Jada, Madison and Carter and a great- grandchild Madden - a passage in her life which she described as sublime. She shared her life, her faith, her time and her talents with them lovingly and patiently.

She will be remembered for her generosity, energy, deep faith and her culinary skills. Agnes was blessed with a unique creative flair which was so evident in who she was and whatever she did. She was a grace-filled woman whose step, although soft upon the earth left an indelible imprint; she lived fully, loved her God and her family deeply and will be remembered with affection and tenderness by her husband, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandson and sister Bernice Birchall.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk, Manitoba.

With the passing of this thoroughly decent woman a large and wonderful chapter of our life’s book comes gently to a close.
