Marie passed away peacefully at Golden Door Geriatric Centre on September 23, 2024.
She is survived by her brother Ernie (Joan). She was predeceased by her husband Casey, parents, Fritz and Anna Ostermann and five siblings, Anne Schmidt, Joe, Clare, Pauline Kreutzer and Teo.
Marie was an elementary school teacher. Her career spanned 37 years, much of it as a “resource teacher” working with “special needs” children. She will be remembered for her patience, kindness and generosity.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church, Little Britain, Manitoba. Interment will follow in the Churchyard cemetery.
