RICHARD (RICK) KENNETH WILLSON

November 27, 1946 – September 23, 2024

Rick leaves behind his wife Lorraine (Honey), children Kelly and Brad (Debbie), grandchildren Braden, Kendall, Tia (Denzel) and Lennon, sister Linda and brother Ron (Mavis).

Rick began his career in meat cutting in Marathon, Ontario where he met Honey. They moved to Thunder Bay where he began working for Dominion stores. He then transferred to Winnipeg where he worked for several years before buying Main St. IGA.

Many of Rick’s best years were spent doing the things he loved which included hunting at the shack and fishing at the lake. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and will be sad he’s going to miss their high school graduations this year.

There will be no service and a private interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Seven Oaks Hospital (Dialysis Unit).

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I Worked with Rick at the Dominion Store at Garden City and at Main St. I.G.A. Rick always did a fantastic job. Rick was more than a co- worker and business partner, he was a good friend. I could always count on Rick. I will always fondly remember when Don, Gerry, Joe, Blake and myself had a wonderful visit with Rick. . - Posted by: Wayne L. • Our deepest condolences to Lorraine, Kelly and Kendall. Even though Rick is transferred to heaven to be with God he will be sadly missed by us all, but only for a while. We got to know Rick only a sort time ago but he touched our hearts the moment we met. He was wise, caring and an honest friend. May God grant the Willson family, strength, courage and healing over the loss of Rick. - Posted by: Mel and Christine Senkow (Friends) on: Sep 28, 2024
