It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Opa, on September 27, 2024, at the age of 83, surrounded by his loving family.
Rod is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geraldine, son Kerry, daughter-in-law Cheryl, granddaughter Steffany (Jeffrey), grandson Brian and his great-granddaughters, Jordyn and Emma. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Arnold, Roy (Janice) and Randy (Doris), and sister-in-law Rhoda, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Theresa, brothers, Wilfred and Ralph, sisters, Alma (Jack) Beitz and Joyce (Warren) Breyfogle and sister-in-law, Sandra Weidl.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 291 Churchill Rd., Winnipeg Beach, with Rev. Robin Mather officiating. Interment will follow in the Winnipeg Beach Community Cemetery with a reception at Winnipeg Beach Legion, 20 Hamilton Ave.

I would like to give my families condolences on the passing of Rod. I knew he was in I’ll health these passed two years. I always remember Rod talking about the one game he. Played on Montreal Canadians system and using the Sherwood PMP 5030 BC, stick the Big Curve, as my former coach. Also working for Subterranean Piling as a Forman. My heartfelt sympathy on the passing of beloved Rodney. May cherished memories help you during this difficult time. I have fond memories of Rodney growing up on Newton Avenue. We were neighbours as well as attending school together.Good times! Met up with Rodney a few years ago at Winnipeg Beach. Was nice catching up on younger years.
