ROBERT DAVID DRIPPS
It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Robert David Dripps. Bob was a loving husband to his dear wife Sally of 58 years, a father and a grandfather.
Bob was predeceased by both his parents Robert and Melia Dripps, his stepmother Gladys Dripps; his in-laws Samuel and Mary Spence; his three sisters Alice Hogg of Winnipeg, Irene Wurch of California, Roberta Klump of Las Vegas and his precious grandson Everett Patterson King.
He leaves to mourn his wife Sally; his daughter Kerry (Chris) King; sons Jason (Shauna) Dripps and Kelly (Randy) Dripps. His grandchildren: Spencer, Preston and Miranda King; Landon, Savannah and Summer Dripps; Donovan and Avery Dripps. His sisters-in-law Sharon (John) Chapman, Renee (Jeffrey) Nellins, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob was born in Winnipeg and attended Greenway School and Red River College. He worked many years at the Greater Winnipeg Gas Company and left there to become the Manager of Real Estate and Resources with the Royal Bank of Canada up until his retirement in 2000. Bob was actively involved in the planning and building of KilCona Park Alliance Church. He was an active member from the inception.
The family enjoyed their time at Bob’s parents’ cottage in Falcon Lake. Then years later at their own cottage in Lac du Bonnet. Bob spent many weekends at home or the cottage building projects or helping his children with things around their homes. The family spent many afternoons having pool parties at their home in West St. Paul.
Bob and Sally enjoyed several trips to Ireland and California visiting family. In their retirement they travelled to Arizona.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and most recently the staff at Middle Church Personal Care Home for their care and compassion provided to Bob in recent weeks.
A private service and interment has taken place at Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery.
