Peacefully, on October 19, 2024, after a brave and courageous battle with dementia, Rob passed away with his family by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Grace Carlson; brother, Wayne Carlson; brother-in-law, Wayne Hourd and fur baby, Sawyer. Rob will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Bonnie; son, Jack; sisters, Wendy (Steve) Mestrovic and Cindy Hourd; aunt, Darlene Johnson; nieces, Melissa, Kristin (Brad), Kaitlin, Cassandra and Nya; nephews, Mike, Mark, Victor, Matthew, Kai and Pierce as well as many cousins.
Rob’s Celebration of Life will be held on October 28 at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue; viewing at 1:00 p.m.; Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Memorial Gardens and a reception will follow.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the SNBU team at Poseidon for the loving care they gave Rob. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Blom and the caring team at Riverview.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, R3C 4G2.
