PEARL KINGYENS

(nee WRIGHT)

Sadly, we announce that Pearl passed away suddenly on October 26, 2024, at the age of 94.

She was predeceased by her husband Lorne on October 22, 2023, and her twin sister Ruby on August 24, 2024. Left to mourn are her children, Susan, Faye and Stephen (Sandra), her grandchildren, Jessica (Troy) and Lucas along with her great-grandchildren, Finn, Ava, Sully and Maicy Pearl. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, Doris and Elizabeth as well as her many other family members and friends.

Pearl was born in Peterborough England on June 4, 1930, 10 minutes ahead of her twin sister. She met Lorne in a Stanford England pub in 1952 when he nearly hit her with a wayward dart. They married in 1954 and returned to Canada where she began her life as a military wife, moving across Canada multiple times making new friends as she went, finally ending up in Winnipeg in 1977. When she wasn't on the golf course, or at the curling rink, she kept busy with volunteer work, including 25 years as a Grace Hospital volunteer. Her most favourite time was spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place, and Pearl will soon join her husband in Brookside Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 12, 2024 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Sturgeon Creek 1 for their care and support of our mum and ourselves, as well as the staff of Grace Hospital. A special thank you to Norm and Betty Brown for their constant support of our family.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation.

Forever in our hearts ...
