Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTONIA COLAVITO
Mom (Antonia, Toni, Colavito) born March 27, 1939, date of passing October 29, 2024.
Known as Mom or Zia to many people. Antonia came to Canada from Italy in the late 1960s with her husband Gerardo to begin a new life. Eventually Winnipeg became her permanent home and a city she was proud to live in. Mom worked for many years at Health Sciences Centre as “the pizza Lady”. Antonia enjoyed making pizza and serving it up with a smile.
Mom, although stubborn at times, was a loving, nurturing and funny person. Antonia’s life lessons were clear. Take time for yourself when you need it, the world moves forward every day. Be happy and proud of your accomplishments as well as those of others. Tell people you love them and show them how much u love them. Laugh as much as you can as often as you can. Enjoy and savour good meals and always thank the chef. Please remember Antonia briefly whenever you do these things in your life.
Mom, you have been a ray of sunlight for us; and so many different people and we will miss you.
In the end Antonia found peace and was looking forward to reuniting with her life partner who left this earth many years ago.
She leaves behind Mike, beloved son. Rosa (Rafael), beloved daughter and much loved grandchildren Chasidey, Chelsea and Calvin. She also leaves behind beloved brother-in-law Frank (Felicia) and many nieces, nephews and family and friends both in Italy and Canada.
Ciao Bella, you will be
forever in our hearts.
A private ceremony has taken place to celebrate Antonia and she was laid to rest beside her beloved husband Geraldo.
In lieu of flowers, please support the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
