JOSEPH BAUERNHUBER

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Bauernhuber. On November 4, 2024, at Percy E. Moore Hospital with his loving wife by his side, Joseph took his last breath.

Joseph was the beloved husband for 70 years to loving wife Vigdis. He was an amazing father to Ingrid, Bruce and Philip, he was a caring brother to Karl.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife Vigdis, son Bruce, brother Karl (Kristine), sister-in-law Frances, daughter-in-law Susan, and many nieces and nephews.

Joseph is now at rest with his daughter Ingrid, son Philip, nephew Gestur, sister-in-law Borga, brothers-in-law, Bjarki, Oli and Sveinn.

Joseph farmed in Geysir and was very involved with the community of Geysir and Arborg and sat on many boards, also managed the Ronald McDonald House in Winnipeg for many years with Vigdis and Bruce by his side.

The family would like to thank all the healthcare workers, from the paramedics to the nurses and doctors of Arborg, Health Sciences Centre and Percy E. Moore, also the wonderful caring staff at the Arborg Assisted Living.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life to be held at the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, at a later date.
