I was an exchange teacher at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary College in 1988 where I had the great pleasure in getting to know Larry and his enthusiasm for teaching in food services. Larry was an excellent teacher, colleague and friend at the time and I am sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family - Posted by: Jeff Rootes (Former teaching colleague) on: Nov 27, 2024

What I remember most fondly is Larry's laugh. Every conversation we had always involved laughter. He always seemed to have a smile and laughter was never far away. It was so hearty and genuine and always made me feel lifted! Our sincerest condolences to Virginia, Lukis and family. - Posted by: Warren Nelson (friend) on: Nov 21, 2024

Always loved chatting with Larry and watched in amazement as he made something from nothing and made it a work of art and great taste! I liked how he always had time to chat with me at the grocery store and really wanted to know how I was doing!!! He really did care about everyone he met!!! He will be terribly missed!!! Good Bless You Larry!!! - Posted by: Barry Hyra (Friend through the Victoria Inn) on: Nov 13, 2024

How we wish we could revisit our brief conversation with Larry on October 17th. So much more needed to be said. He was asking about our luck in picking fiddleheads last spring as, one year, we had dropped off a bag of them at his house. Since Larry was a culinary marvel, we had known who would appreciate them the most...and he did! His Christmas baking at Crocus Plains supplied Garry with fruitcakes to take as dessert on whitewater canoe trips up north. They transported well and became a five star favourite on repeat menus. Larry was a wonderful man and our hearts go out to you, Virginia and Lukas. - Posted by: Colleen and Garry Miller (Former colleague and friends) on: Nov 13, 2024
