It is with great sadness in our hearts, that we have to announce the passing of Daniel Camille Duhamel on November 5, 2024, at the Health Sciences Centre after a short battle with cancer.
Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Antonin Duhamel and Rita Duhamel (Gagne): his sisters, Doris and Irma: his brothers, Larry and Bert. Daniel is survived by his wife Mona, his son Marc, his stepchildren, Karen, James and Jeffrey and their spouses, and four grandchildren; also his brothers, Jerry and Joseph, sisters, Marlene and Darlene and their spouses and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Daniel was born in Rainy River, Ontario on September 24, 1951, and was raised in Atikokan, Ontario; then moved to Winnipeg in 1968. Most of his life was spent in SUNNY St. Boniface.
He enjoyed many outdoor activities which include biking, fishing, canoeing, camping and swimming. Dan was very competitive with his siblings playing baseball and hockey. One of his special times was being surrounded by his family and friends having many poker games and family dinners.
A memorial service will be held on November 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 DesMeurons Street, Winnipeg, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children's Wish Foundation.
