Kenneth Walsh was born on January 8, 1931, in Maidenhead, Berks, United Kingdom.
He wanted to be a vet, but he couldn’t stand seeing animals in pain. Instead, he followed his dad’s footsteps and trained to be an Electrical Engineer. Throughout his life, he worked at various companies around the UK, where he met and married Violet in 1953. They made their way to Canada by ship, with a cat and dog in tow, where he ended up at Bristol Aerospace in Winnipeg. A few years later, Gloria was born. He was part of a team at Bristol which did many rocket projects around the world, including Red Lake, Ontario where he saw the total eclipse in 1979. When he was home, he was happiest outdoors and travelling with his family. He rescued many cats and dogs over the course of his life.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter Gloria (Karl), his cat Lady Jane, and his brother-in-law Don and his family.
He passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave.
His stories will be missed.

My parents became friends with Ken and Violet when Gloria and I were five years old. We've known each other 'forever'! Mr Walsh was a quiet man with such a good heart and he will be missed.
