BOYD LAWRENCE SOLNES

1937 - 2024

We sadly announce the passing of Boyd Solnes on November 9, 2024, peacefully with his family at his side.

He went through a long suffering with Parkinson’s which he gallantly fought till the end.

We are so proud of Boyd, words can’t describe what a great life we had with him as a husband, father and grampa. He leaves to mourn his surviving family, loving wife Reta, his two devoted and loving children, son Grant (wife Teresa) and daughter Onalee (husband Jon), four grandchildren, Erikson (Jess), Garret (Gillian), Sara and Michael who deeply admired and cherished their grampa (papa) who was a star in their eyes in so many ways and who could accomplish anything he faced. His spirit and heart of gold will live with us forever.

He had many great friends through his life and with the Department of Agriculture where he worked 35 years and was also a proud Mason for 35 years. A devoted husband, father and grandfather he never let challenges stand in his way to not have time for his family. He had such passion for farming, carpentry, playing his saxaphone at dances and enjoying his hunting and fishing trips!..and baseball too!

Always a caring hand and loving smile to all he met and knew. We cherish having such a beautiful man in our lives and truly thank God.

God bless Boyd..a Celebration of Life to be planned at a later date for all family and friends to come together and celebrate!

We love you dad!
