  • So sorry to hear of Ernie’s passing. We first met Ernie thru Ringette with our daughters playing together and the years we spend coaching against each other always great battles of wits till game over then we would discuss the game in depth. Its been years but still think of those talks and was great to hear other thoughts on game (some I stole and used) will always remember Ernie and Carol as devoted parents - Posted by: Cliff & Rhonda (Friend ) on: Nov 25, 2024

  • Our sincere condolences to Carol and family. My memories of Ernie are as a fellow basketball player in Morris in the early 60's. We didn't always win but we had fun. Another memory is seeing Ernie win the top scholastic award in his grade, every year through high school. A great guy with the smarts to achieve whatever he wanted to achieve. Rest in Peace, Ernie. - Posted by: Ray and Marilyn Dyck (Childhood friends) on: Nov 23, 2024

  • I was fortunate to meet Ernie when our daughters played ringette. We coached in the River East program and joined Pine Ridge to play golf together in the late 80s. He was bright, enthusiastic, and a lousy golfer but persisted, and we enjoyed getting out on the fairways in Winnipeg and in the Palm Springs area. Lorna and I enjoyed going out for luncheons and dinners with Ernie and Carol locally and in Palm Desert. I will miss him and his wit. - Posted by: Gary Eggertson (Friend) on: Nov 23, 2024
