It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mom and grandmother, on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the age of 88 years.
Ann was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Pearl, and brother Paul Dietrich.
Ann will be deeply missed by her daughters, Catherine (Kelly), Suzanne (Roger) and Jill (Brad), and her grandchildren, Regan, Connor, Quinn, Erin, Marcus, Aine, Matthew, Cate and Jane.
Ann grew up on the family farm in Mount Carmel, Ontario. At 17, she left to attend nurses training at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ontario. Ann worked as an RN in several cities and enjoyed long friendships with her classmates. She worked at Tache Centre until her retirement and enjoyed her time with the residents very much.
Mom remained close to her cousins from "home" and she had wonderful friends in Winnipeg. A loving and devoted mother, when the grandchildren began arriving the fun really started!
Mom enjoyed many hobbies and interests, and embraced technology and all the discoveries it could provide.
Mom was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and enjoyed her faith community. Mom was a proud member of the 36ers! Her outings with friends after Mass were always a pleasure.
Our lives will never be the same.
Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 4588 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
Thank you to Dr. S. Robillard, Dr. P. M. Marzban, Dr. E. Clarke Whalen and the nurses at Grace Hospital for their care of our mother.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
