VICTOR CHARLES LOGEOT

Victor Charles Logeot was born in Hartney, Manitoba on October 1, 1940 to Victor and Eleanora (Sokol) Logeot and passed away on November 11, 2024 at Brandon Regional Health Centre with family by his side. He was raised in the Deleau area and spent several decades living at the family farm. Victor loved farming and was very passionate about wildlife and nature. He lived on the farm until the summer of 2023 at which time he moved to Melita Lodge.

Vic graduated high school from Souris Collegiate in 1959 and went on to attend Brandon University to study science and education where he graduated in 1964. Vic went on to teach in several small towns including Minitonas, Elkhorn, and Alonsa where he retired from teaching. He also taught at various adult education locations in the province. While in Minitonas, he met Annette Klatt and they wed in December 1972. They resided on the Logeot farm and raised their two children Dwight and Jamie. They were excited to become grandparents with the birth of Dwight and Denise’s twins, Emmett and Everly, in January 2016.

Victor enjoyed telling stories, local and family history, reading, cooking, botany, animals, camping, hunting, fishing, and cruising the country roads. He loved to visit with his friends and family and will be missed by many.

Left to mourn his loss are his wife Annette; children, Dwight (Denise) and Jamie; grandchildren, Emmett and Everly; his brother Dale (Toni) and sister Marie; sister-in-law Marj; as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and community members. He was predeceased by his brother Leonard.

Funeral services were held on November 23, 2024 in Souris with interment in the Oak Lake Cemetery. In memory of Victor, donations may be made to the Deleau Park c/o Deleau Community Club Box 1407 Souris, Manitoba R0K 2C0.
