MARJORIE EVA MAXWELL


Marjorie Eva Maxwell passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 83.

Marjorie was born to parents, Ralph and Florence Davis on August 8, 1941 and was the first set of triplets born in the Brandon Region. Her early education began in Moore Park, MB. She then attended St. Michael’s Academy. Marjorie received her social work degree from the University of Winnipeg in 1998.

Majorie held several positions in the health care field, working with clients at We Care, the Women’s Shelter, AFM and finally in her chosen field as a social worker at Country Meadows in Neepawa, MB. She also belonged to the Society for Depression and Manic Depression.

In her free time she enjoyed gardening, both inside and outside, garage sales, reading, bird watching and of course spending time with her family.

Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sheila Crofton, Sharon (Mike) Mosiuk and James Cleave (Tammy Baker); grandchildren, Bryce, Michael (Candice) and Megan (Eric); and great-grandchildren, Nathan and Brooklyn. She is predeceased by her parents; brothers, William Davis and David Davis; sister Margaret Campbell; and sister-in-law Beth Davis.

A memorial service will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, Thurrsday, December 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the Westman Woman’s Shelter, 148 11th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 4J4.
