PETER KLAUS EIBISCH
With profound sadness, yet grateful for a life well lived, I wish to inform you of Peter’s passing on November 22, 2024, at Pinawa Hospital.
Peter is survived by his wife Gudrun, sister-in-law Helga (Dittmar), his nieces, Petra, Katrin (Karsten), as well as nephews and one niece.
Peter was born December 15, 1935, to Helmut and Margarete Eibisch in Aue, Germany. He immigrated to Canada in August 1959 as a tool and dye maker. He worked for Washtronics, Pritchard Engineering and the Royal Canadian Mint. In 1989 he obtained his Bachelor of Education and taught Industrial Art at Tech. Voc. School and St. Johns School. He retired in 1993 and made beautiful Lac du Bonnet the place to live.
Peter loved the outdoors, enjoyed travel, sailing, skiing and riding. Together with his wife and their motorhome they travelled extensively in Canada and the USA. Later on they preferred cruises.
He was an eternal optimist, loved people and they loved him. Peter had a deep love for Canada and was grateful to have been given the opportunity to come to this country. His wife would like to thank the compassionate caring of Dr. M. Bruneau and staff at Lac du Bonnet Clinic as well as the staff at Pinawa Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E, Beausejour.
In lieu of flowers, one may consider donations to the Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9.
