It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marguerite Mortimer on November 20, 2024, in Winnipeg after a short illness.
Marguerite had recently celebrated her 89th birthday.
Marguerite is survived by her loving family, nieces, Jodi (Dan), Denise (Bruce J), Marlene, Judy (Robert), Arlene (Al), nephews, Frank JR (Sharon), Greg and great-nieces, Lindsay (Tyler), Tara (Evan), Alicia as well as many extended family members.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ivy, sisters, Leila (Dick), Winnifred (Wally), brothers, Sydney (Kathleen) and Frank (Pearl).
Marguerite, a woman of faith her entire life, was devoted to her family, friends and church.
She loved to read, go for long walks and was a Sunday school teacher in her younger years.
Marguerite’s warm, friendly smile and presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
We would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Grace Hospital for their compassionate care while she was there.
Funeral services will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
