Chui Chun (Jean) Eng, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband (Lee) Gin Wing Eng, parents, Jack Dang and Kam Toy and brother Joe Dang.
Mom will be deeply missed by her family and friends, including children, Henry (Helen), Wendy, and Thomas (Loretta), sister-in-law Magdalen Dang and family as well as several cousins. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jennifer (John), Jason (Becky), Jonathan, Randy, Monica, Amanda (Raphaël), and Alisa (Marcus). Additionally, she will be cherished by her eight great-grandchildren: Eliana, Ben, Lucas, Audrey, Amélie, Sophie, Niclas and Chloé.
Mom and Dad, who lived in Melita, Manitoba, raised three children and worked diligently to ensure their children’s comfortable upbringing. In the late 1970s, they relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, to embark on the next chapter of their lives. The arrival of grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Stuttgart brought newfound joy and fulfillment to Mom’s life.
We express our deepest gratitude to the remarkable staff at Poseidon Care Centre and Brightwater community for their exceptional care and compassion.
Our heartfelt thanks also extend to the dedicated staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their unwavering care and compassion during Mom’s final hours.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway.
