WAYNE JAMES HUDSON

1951 - 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wayne James Hudson, beloved husband, Dad and Grandpa.

Wayne passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 28, 2024. Wayne leaves to mourn his wife Elaine of 49 years, daughters, Alison (Richard/Homie), Melanie (Walter) and grandchildren, Liam and Harley, who he loved with all his heart. He also leaves behind sisters, Lola (Garry), Cathy (Les), Susan (Victor) and brother Glenn (Pearl).

Wayne was a people person, a salesman by trade and made friends wherever he went. He had a connection for anything anyone needed and always knew the best places to eat. Wayne was an active member of the Shriners for over 30 years, Masons for over 50 years and a member of the Order of De Molay where he made lifelong friendships. In 2019 he was awarded the Legion of Honour.

He enjoyed spending summers at the lake with family and friends, making Sunday dinners and spending time with the ones he loved.

The family would like to thank Family friend and Reverend Colin Peterson, CancerCare and the MICU at Health Sciences Centre for their care. Wayne-Boy, you will be deeply missed.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Home at 3030 Notre Dame Ave.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honour to the Khartum Shriners Patient Transportation Fund.
