Edward Henry De Jong Sr., 61 years old from Winnipeg, MB, Canada, suddenly left us on December 2, 2024. This awesome man issurvived by his wife, Edna DeJong, of 36 years, his daughter Kristina Marie and son Edward JR (TJ).
Ed was the son of Bruce (deceased) and Gertrude DeJong, who also had a brother, Robert (Bob, deceased), a sister, Tara Lee and a brother-in-law, Mark of Toronto. He will also be leaving behind sisters-in-law, Erlinda Aguila (Manitoba) and Elsie Cipriano (BC), as well as brothers-in-law, Alexander Aguila and Edwin Cipriano. He will be greatly missed by his nephews, Earl Kim (Calgary, AB), Elwin and niece Ericka (BC) and his Auntie Alison Mendres and family, Uncle Robert /Lynn Johnson and family, Auntie Marion and family of Calgary and his countless extended family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by everyone who got the chance to know him. Ed is fond of reminiscing about his life, starting with the basics: his Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) 735 Communication Regiment, a deployment overseas, working on the roads of our city Winnipeg (SEG), working in the Ministry of Transportation Ontario, and his latest Manitoba Highways, where he met great friends!

Lamay Service will be at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass at St. Edwards the Confessor Church on December 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with interment and reception to follow service at Glen Eden Cemetery & Funeral Home.
