Donald Franklin Julius Goodman died peacefully on November 25th, 2024. He was 88 years old.
Born in 1936, Don was the son of a boat builder and worked with his father. A St. James boy all his life, he loved racing cars at the Brooklyn Speedway and playing hockey in his youth.
He coached his grandson Brad’s hockey team in later years. Don was a lifelong Winnipeg Jets fan and always sported a Jets hat.
A talented carpenter, Don could build anything. His son Ron followed in his footsteps and became a contractor and now his granddaughter Emma is carrying on the tradition.
He leaves behind his daughter, Diane; grandson, Brad and granddaughters, Sara, Hanna and Emma.
“Well Dad, you took your final checkered flag in life, and you will be missed.”
Cremation and a private service has taken place.

I am sorry to hear of Don's passing. So close to Ron's passing. I remember a picture of Don Diane must of showed me when they lived on Inglewood. Don was sitting on a lawnchair wearing a woman's wig and I smile. My sincere condolences to Diane and the rest of the family.
