So sorry to hear of Joan's passing. My deepest condolences to her children and extended family. I met Joan at Queen Elizabeth School in St. Norbert where I enrolled as a new student to complete my tenth and eleventh grade. It was after we were both married that we connected again and became closer friends. She was a great friend to me and I will always cherish the moments we shared together; phone chats, meeting for lunch and occasional dancing events. She was a friendly and bubbly person, always smiling and willing to help others. I will dearly miss her. Rest in peace Joan. - Posted by: Shirley Ruchkall (nee Stefanishyn) (Friend) on: Dec 24, 2024

When I started at the Queen Elizabeth School in September 1948, "Joanie" was already in Grade 5. Despite the fact that her brother Gerald would call her "Joanie Balonie", she nevertheless looked after her siblings, learned to play the piano and church organ and matured into being one classy lady. May HER MEMORY BE ETERNAL. - Posted by: Myron (Marian) Masnyk (Family friend for 76 years) on: Dec 21, 2024
