My condolences to Tonya, Sam and family. I am sad to hear of his passing. I knew him by the name of Ralph because that is what he preferred to be called. I first met him in 1988 when he started to work at Pritchard Machine as a millwright. Long before the Red Seal Ticket became more common, Ralph could do it all. He tore down and rebuilt blowers, compressors, did electrical repairs on shop machines, did universal grinding. You name it, he could do it. My association with him was intertwined. He did the mechanical work, I did the material acquisition and purchasing of parts for the jobs he was working on. I found out early that he liked to talk. He blended in with me because i was a listener more than a talker so we got along well. We worked in the machine shop for 26 years. He would tell me about his family and what they liked to do. I know he liked to travel because he went to Chicago a number of times and went to Las Vegas in June 2011 and travelled back to Italy a few times. Ralph lived not far from me so we had many Tim Horton coffee shop talks over the years. He drove a 1998 Ford Ranger truck and liked to work on it. I think that was his hobby, because he was always itching to fix something. When he retired in June 2015 he said he was bored with nothing to do. I encouraged him to develop new interests. Ralph was a hard worker and was very interested in the career of his choice. This is how i knew Ralph, a man full of life, thoughts and ideas. I will have many memories of him to cherish over time and will miss him. Darcy - Posted by: Darcy Smela (Friend/ Former co-worker) on: Dec 28, 2024

I met Raffaelle through his daughter Ami. My first impression was that he valued family and hard work and he reflected these values everyday. He will be truly missed. Condolences to Antonia and family. - Posted by: Veronica Ducharme (Family friend ) on: Dec 28, 2024
