JOHANN SIGURJON ERICKSON
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Johann (Joe) Erickson, a loving father and Afi, who left us on December 23, 2024, at the age of 86 after a 9 year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Joe will be deeply missed by his children, Michael (Liz) and Leslie along with several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many good friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2025.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON 1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.

Leslie, Mike and your families: I got to know your Dad through Icelandic Roots and in particular, Samtal Hour where he seldom missed an online event over the past 3 years that I have been involved. I was fortunate enough to meet Mr. Erickson this past September. I had the pleasure to sit down and enjoy a lengthy conversation with him. A kind, true gentleman who has left a wonderful legacy in our world.
