It is with great sadness the family of Beverley announces her passing. After a long struggle with health issues on January 7, 2025 at the age of 81, we lost a wonderful woman, sister, aunt, friend, wife, and mother.
She leaves behind to cherish her in loving memory, her son Ricky Millan, as well as assorted family members, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her late husband Kenneth Millan as well as her parents, Edith and Ernest Mctavish, mother-in-law Elizabeth Millan and father-in-law Alex Millan. She will be greatly missed.
Beverley was born in Holland, Manitoba and grew up with nine brothers and four sisters. She started working in her 20s after having her only son Ricky. Bev worked as a waitress, bartender, babysitter, and her last job as a cleaner before retiring. Bev was a hard worker, a loving mother with a great sense of humour that made everyone smile. She was a caring friend and a great person to be around. She loved to play bingo and do word searches and crossword puzzles. Bev was also very talented when it came to knitting and crocheting. She had been doing it since she was 16 years old and has made several projects like blankets, scarves, embroidery work, and doilies.
We will forever remember and cherish all of the wonderful and precious memories we had with Beverley. We will always love you and miss you. We are grateful to have had you a part of our lives and we will keep you in our hearts as you shine bright from heaven above. Thank you for taking great care of us.
A public visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, with interment to follow.
