NOREEN E. SMITH
Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our Mom, Noreen, at 95 years old.
She is survived by her children: Lynne (Norm), Kathy (John), Kevin, and Wendy (Fred), nine grandchildren: Shawn (Jasmine), Stacey (Christian), Megan, Kristen (Tan), Lauren (Daniel), Kristina, Jackson, Stephanie (Jacob), Kelsey (Neil) and three great-grandchildren: Jade, Pemma and Jem.
She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Art Smith, daughter Donna, her parents, Ted and Emma Plischke and brother Ted Jr.
Noreen was the heart of our family. She had special relationships with all generations of her immediate and extended family. A woman of many talents; star baker and chef, accomplished athlete, talented gardener and skilled seamstress. Noreen was devout in her Catholic faith. Our Mom was a shining light and had an amazing spirit! She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
If desired, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice in Noreen’s honour.

My thoughts and prayers go to you, Noreen's family. I met Noreen in 2009, when we moved to 400 Osborne St. She became a good friend and was a wonderful lady. She is at peace now but will certainly be missed. - Posted by: Donna Land (Friend) on: Jan 25, 2025
