With great sadness, Gerard (Gerry) Saurette passed away with family by his side, on January 15, 2025, at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 75.
He leaves behind his sisters, Claudette Saurette, Elaine Desrochers (Raymond), Doris Doucet (Jean-Paul), Diane Berard, brother Roger Saurette (Celina), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Benoit and Lucille Saurette, sister-in-law Mona Saurette, niece Jocelyne Saurette, brother-in-law Jean-Paul Berard, niece Lynne Berard, and nephew Dylan Berard.
Gerry had a joy for life. He loved to be around people and make them laugh. He had a very big heart and was always willing to help others.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at St. Boniface Cathedral.

So sorry to hear about Gerry's passing. Our deepest condolences. Growing up down the road from Uncle Ben and our cousins we were always in each others yards. We have fond memories of those shared days. Unfortunately, we are away and will not be able to attend the funeral. Our thoughts are with you. Our sincere condolences to all of you. Gerry had a big heart, he was always ready to help whoever needed it. As we would drive up to their house, Gerry would always run up to the vehicle before we got a chance to stop. But he meant well. He is now in a much better place. Our prayers are with all of you.
