Peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Grace Hospital Sister Louise Hébert went home to be with her Eternal Father at the age of 89 and 68 years of religious life.
Sister Louise leaves to mourn her brother Denis, sister-in-law Arlette, many nieces, nephews, close friends and her Grey Nun Community.
Funeral Liturgy will be held on January 25, 2025, at Residence Despins, 151 Despins Street, Winnipeg, MB. The prayers and eulogy at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Eucharistic Celebration at 1:30 p.m.

Gosh Denis, so sorry that I had not heard that dear Sr. Louise had died, till now. Like Linda Gingera, I was one of those young women living in community with a few of the Grey Nuns, of which Sr. Louise was one. She made the best suppers with all of our leftovers! She could be counted on to listen, to empathize and all with words of encouragement and that beautiful smile. We knew she loved us. Sr. Louise was a dear friend of mine. We met over 40 years ago when I went to live in community with the Grey nuns on Kenny Street. I will remember her for her easy smile and ready laugh. Sr. Louise had a gift for making me feel loved. Over the years, we remained friends and I enjoyed each visit as if I was with a favorite auntie. She told me, may times, that she prayed for me and I am certain that the prayers of that sweet little nun are what got me through some very difficult times.
