Alfred was called home suddenly to be with his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Alfred was predeceased by his first wife Wanda in 1980 and his second wife Arlene in 2014, as well as all of his siblings and their spouses.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Mark Otto, Marlene Lucky (Rob) and David Otto (Judy) and his stepchildren, Karen Martin (Don), Clara Prokopchuk (Greg), Amanda Klaprat (Randall) and Earl Schnellert (Kim); his grandchildren, Ryan (Kate), Breanne (Greg), Sam (Kristina), Danielle, Robyn (Sam), Anthony (Yury), Brenda (JP), Jordan (Ximena), Raelene (Bryan), Alexis (Michael), Andrea (Chris) and William; great-grandchildren, Addison, Isla, Quinn, Adeline, Autumn, Bronwyn, Luther, Isabelle, Ashlynn, Evelyn and Oliver. He will also be mourned by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Alfred was born at the family farm in Thalberg, MB to Friedrich and Pauline Otto. He was the youngest of a family of 11. Alfred lived a long and full life to his very last breath. Family, faith and the farm were the true foundations of his life.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thalberg, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alfred’s memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Box 57, Grp 327, RR 3, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
