It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mom, Memère, Grand-Memère on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Clara (née Lambert) was predeceased by Lionel, her loving husband of 70 years and is survived by their children: Rachel (Benoit Simard), Marcel (Sonya), Paulette (Mike Albo), Maurice (Pat), Rollie (Bob Meush), 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters, Lucienne and Lorraine.
Clara (née Lambert) was born in Transcona, MB, on June 29, 1930. She grew up in St. Pierre Jolys, MB, where her family had later moved, and in 1954, married Lionel. After a few years they moved to St. Boniface, MB where they continued to raise their family. Over time she worked at various jobs. She dedicated many years as a singer for Précieux-Sang Church Choir, and also as a volunteer at St. Boniface Hospital.
Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. R. Beaudette, as well as all the workers and care-givers from the 3rd floor at Action Marguerite St. Vital, where Mom spent the last years of her life. She loved you guys...
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
A private family service to follow.

My condolences to you all on the loss of both of your parents. I remember them from way back when. You must hear often how kind they were. Always a smile and a greeting to share. In later years, my Mom and Me would see them at Safeway and still M. et Mme Carrière were as lovely as ever. I will remember them fondly. - Posted by: Nicole Gaudry (My Mother Léona was your Dad Lionel's secretary at L'Accueil Colombien) on: Jan 25, 2025
